What I'm Wearing with White Stuff

After my recent weight loss I have discovered a new-found love for fashion!

I have always lusted after clothes from key brands online and on the high street: when I was at my biggest (a size 20) I used to find shopping on the high street really tricky and quite depressing- the clothes in my size were uninspiring, and I didn't feel confident enough to wear the clothes that I coveted.

Now, at a UK Size 12 I feel like my options are much wider, and I finally get to wear the clothes I love...it feels great to be discovering a new confidence in what I wear, meaning I am finally choosing clothes that I like, rather than clothes to cover me up.

In this new series of blog posts entitled 'What I'm Wearing', over the coming months I'm going to be bringing you some of my top picks from each of my favourite brands and show you how and when I wear them.

Firstly, I'm bringing you my top picks from the fabulous White Stuff

Here are my top picks from White Stuff this Spring...

Kilmory Dress priced at £55

This fab denim-look shift dress has brass button detailing on the shoulder and rolled sleeves. It falls to just below the knee and has two handy pockets. It is so comfortable and easy to wear - I love that I can dress down this dress by wearing it with little pumps, for a relaxed day to day look, or I can dress it up with heels and jewellery for a smarter look.

Patched Stripe Scarf priced at £22.50

I am a scarf addict - I probably own at least 20!! I love using them to add colour and pattern to plainer staple items in my wardrobe, such as the Kilmory dress. Breton stripes being another passion of mine, this beautiful stripy number is literally my perfect scarf: the grey, white, mustard, coral and light/dark turquoise stripe colour combo is fun and stylish without being too brash. The material is light and drapey making it a great accessory for the spring!

Paxos Bag priced at £49.95

We all need a reliable small handbag - one that you can just pop your purse, keys, lippy and phone in: that you won't be tempted to overfill with loads of stuff you never really use/need. This super soft leather Paxos bag would be the perfect bag for a spring day out or for your summer holiday. This cross body bag has a handy phone pocket, small zipped compartment, front pocket, a detachable strap, a secure magnetic fastening, and a contrast chambray lining.

The bag even has a cute little leather bird-shaped tag, anyone who knows me well will know I have a real 'thing' about birds, I just love them! So this little tag is a very sweet and welcome addition in my opinion!

Gin and Tonic Lip Balm priced at £4.99

Gin and Tonic lip balm. Gin and tonic!! Yes!! I needn't say any more...! :-)

How I'm Wearing It...

I first wore this outfit a few weeks ago to Blog Camp UK in Birmingham - I couldn't resist getting a little shot of me wearing my new dress and scarf outside the Birmingham White Stuff store!

Strike a pose!

Today, I paired the dress with navy tights and white pumps for a relaxed and comfortable outfit suitable for a day of shenanigans at the farm with my two boys! I felt confident and comfortable all day, the dress allowed me to run around after Bert happily, and I still felt fashionable - bonus!

Fun down on the farm wearing my Kilmory dress and Patched Stripe Scarf!

Posing among the hay bales!

Fun and games with my cheeky boy Bert!

The perfect outfit for silly shenanigans with my boy!

And the Paxos bag was the perfect accessory to hold all the essentials I need as a busy blogger mummy!

Up close and personal to the Paxos bag and Patched Stripe scarf!
Beautiful colours!

I know that I'll wear this outfit time and again, it feels pretty timeless, easy to wear and I feel comfortable and confident in it, which makes a lovely change from my overweight days where my confidence was at an all-time low and I often felt very uncomfortable both physically and mentally in the clothes I wore.

Thanks to White Stuff for sending me such happy post!
